About Rise at the Cove
Nestled on the serene seafront of Greystones lies Rise at the Cove Cafe, a Social Enterprise Cafe situated within the tranquil grounds of Carrig Eden. Our purpose goes beyond brewing exceptional coffee; we are dedicated to nurturing the potential within individuals under Tiglin’s care, a registered charity in the Republic of Ireland committed to helping those triumph over addiction and homelessness.
At the heart of our café experience is our premium quality coffee, meticulously sourced and expertly brewed. Our staff, each trained to the highest standard of barista excellence and customer care, extend a warm and inviting atmosphere to every guest who walks through our doors. More than just a café, we are a beacon of compassion within the Greystones community and beyond. Every cup you enjoy at Rise at the Cove Cafe carries the flavour of purpose, contributing to meaningful change and brighter futures.

Guided by a Christian Ethos, our care model is firmly anchored in an evidence-based approach. This approach ensures that every person under our care benefits from a thorough and effective solution to overcome life-controlling drug and alcohol challenges.
About Tiglin
Tiglin’s journey began in 2008 as a rehabilitation program initially designed to assist men in their path to addiction recovery. Over time, it evolved to encompass rehabilitation services for women as well, eventually leading to the establishment of a dedicated residential center. Carraig Eden, a flagship transitional housing model, has been recently refurbished to the highest standards, representing a vital component of Tiglin’s comprehensive care continuum.
As part of Tiglin’s overarching mission to holistically support every individual in their recovery journey, the organization recognized a significant void in the realm of education and employment support for its service users. In response to this need, Tiglin proudly introduced “Rise at the Cove” in 2021, a venture aimed at bridging this crucial gap.

The people here…. the masses of amount of support I get. People know me and I’m not labelled as Conor the ex addict, or Conor the addict. or Conor the recovering addict. People know me as Conor who works in the coffee shop, Conor who teaches the kids Kung Fu. or Conor who makes Sea Bee Crafts. They make me feel worthy, they give me a sense of worth and that I’m valued. I started my own crafting business, because I like taking broken things like sea glass from the beach, sea pottery and sea shells and I make beautiful stuff out of them. The name of my business is Sea Bee Crafts. I love it. I was once broken myself and I like to find broken things and make them beautiful again. That’s the way I see it. I think that there’s a beauty in finding stuff that people discard and make it beautiful again.
